1. The length of the intestine does not matter much during digestion. Yes, it is longer for herbivores, but that is not the point. Their stomach has a more complex structure, it consists of 4 parts: a scar, a net, a book and an abomasum. For example, in abomasum there is a mass of bacteria that provide fermentation processes during which there is a major breakdown of fiber, which makes up the bulk of plant foods. A person has no enzymes capable of digesting fiber, and it is used as a ballast substance, which is by no means useless. It adsorbs harmful substances, stimulates intestinal motility. A small part of fiber can be digested with the help of microflora of the large intestine, but there, unfortunately, the absorption process is insignificant. Therefore, we get the bulk of the carbohydrates we need by digesting starch and glycogen. This process begins already in the oral cavity and ends in the small intestine, where the final product of their digestion is glucose, which is absorbed into the blood and used by cells as the main source of energy.

2. The concentration of free hydrochloric acid in humans is 0.4-0.5%, and in a dog, for example, 0.5-0.6%. As you can see, there’s not much difference.

3. A person belongs to the group of polyphages, i.e. to omnivores, the structure of human teeth also speaks about this. A person should eat rationally and balancedly. According to some nutritionists, about 60% should be plant foods and 40% should be animal foods. Plant proteins are absorbed by only 40 - 60%, and animals by 90 - 95%. In addition, plant proteins do not contain some essential amino acids, and, finally, the vitamins of group B, which are vital for us, are not found in plant foods.

The moral is not to kill animals; the moral is that it’s better to turn to the materiel for answers.
